Shake things up in the fruit department a bit with these incredibly simple fruit crisps. No faffing and no added extras, just fruit. They do take a while to cook but it really is worth it.
Heat the oven to 100 degrees C.
Slice your fruit really finely and pop onto grease proof paper on a baking tray.
For apples and pears, squeeze a bit of lemon juice or lime juice over the top to stop them from going brown (adds a tiny bit of extra tang to the flavour too). Cook for approx 1.5 hours, turning and checking every 20 mins or so.
For pineapple, put on kitchen roll first and dab them to take some of the moisture out. Cook for approx 2.5 hours.
For bananas, these can go straight into the oven as they are. Cook for approx 3 hours.
It's worth checking these regularly to make sure they don't burn.
Flip the fruit slices about every 20-25 minutes to keep things even stevens.
